-Indian Red Cross Society, Bhojpur chapter organized various programmes on the occasion of World Red Cross day under the presidentship of Chairman, Ara Red Cross Society, Dr. Vivekanand Yadav. Boys and girls of different schools took out a cycle rally with playcards on their hands from the Ara Red Cross Society building chanting slogans of service to humanity that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at the same point. Chairman Dr. V N Yadav flagged off the cycle rally.

ARA------------------------Indian Red Cross Society, Bhojpur chapter organized various programmes on the occasion of World Red Cross day under the presidentship of Chairman, Ara Red Cross Society, Dr. Vivekanand Yadav. Boys and girls of different schools took out a cycle rally with playcards on their hands from the Ara Red Cross Society building chanting slogans of service to humanity that passed through the main thoroughfares of the town and culminated at the same point. Chairman Dr. V N Yadav flagged off the cycle rally. Dr. V N Yadav also hoisted the Red Cross Flag and the students of the local Sambhawana School sang the flag song. The doctors, leaders, students and all the dignitaries present there paid floral tributes to the founder of the Red Cross Society Sir Henry Du Not. Ashok Sharma welcomed the distinguished guests and Dr. Jitendra Shukla extended vote of thanks.
A seminar was also organized on “Towards Humanity” which is the theme of the year 2025 at the International level.
Speaking on the occasion. Dr. Nirmal Kumar Singh threw light on the service of humanity. He praised the voluntary volunteers and discussed their cooperation in various emergency situations and said that wherever you live and whatever work you do, you can serve humanity and for this you need will power. Deputy Patron. Dr. Neeraj Singh said that the businessman was so moved by the tragedy of war that he resolved to serve humanity and founded the Red Cross Society 1863. He exhorted people to be inspired by him and expand the spirit of service within ourselves.
Chairman Dr. V N Yadav said that the Red Cross organization has expanded so much in the whole world that more than 700 units are working. Even after 163 years of its establishment, it is still working in the field of natural disaster relief, military services and social welfare work worldwide. He said that the Red Cross is a leading organization and added that since its inception, Bhojpur district unit is continuously providing first aid training, blood centre services and relief work during natural and unnatural disasters in the district. Help has been reaching the affected people of the district and in the future too, all of us will continue to make efforts to keep the spirit of service to humanity alive within us. +
Badal Virat, director, Medical Hospital, Mahavir Tola Ara donated a water cooler to the Red Cross Society, Ara. A memento was also presented to volunteer Anup Kumar Singh who selflessly served humanity and also were given letters of appreciation to other volunteers who had selflessly contributed to the programmes of the Red Cross Society, Ara unit.
Dr. Vibha Kumari, honourary secretary, Ara Red Cross Society, conducted the programme while Sardar Guru Charan Singh, Sanjeev Kumar Sinha, Ram Kumar Singh, E K Pandey, Ajit Mehta, Aditya Vijay Jain, Sanjeev Gupta, Krishna Madhav Agrawal, Kamal Singh, D Rajan, V Rai, Tarkeshwar Prasad, Dharmendra Kumar and others were present on the occasion.
