ARA (RNI) Sleuths of Excise Department seized 480 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) worth about Rs. 1 lakh and arrested a car driver and a liquor smuggler from near Kulharia Toll Plaza under Koelwar police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested car driver was a resident of Mustaffapur under Rahuyi police station in Nalada district while the liquor smuggler was identified as Shahnawaz Khan of Kagaji locality Ward No 17 of Biharsharif in Nalanda district. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Koelwar police under the New Excise Act and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Officials in the Excise Department said that the Excise Department had launched vehicle checking driver at Multi Agency Check-Post near the Kulharia Tolla Plaza under Koelwar police station on Ara-Patna main road. Meanwhile the police intercepted a car and when checked, the police recovered 480 bottles of IMFL from the cell of the car made especially for it worth about Rs. 1 lakh in the market and arrested two persons including the driver of the car. The police also seized the car.
