ARA---------------------------Bhojpur district is witnessing remarkable progress in the road and infrastructure sector in recent months. The State Governemnt has initiated several important projects for the overall development of the distict.
Some of major road and bridge construction projects are such as Ara-Babura-Chhapara road widening with the estimated cost of Rs. 105 crore, Road construction on Koelwar-Sandesh Sone river dam with the cost of Rs. 37 crore, bypass construction from Ojhawaliya Bridge to Bachari fall with the cost of Rs. 29 crore, four lane road construction at Bihia Chaurasta with Rs. 18 crore, road widening from Ara railway station to Ramana Maidan with Rs. 5.75 crore, road construction on Chandawa-Gangi-Dharahara dam with Rs. 31.30 crore, storm water drainage system and pump house construction at Ara Municipal Corporation with Rs. 90.30 crore, ring road constructon in Ara with Rs. 516 crore, Asani to Bampali road construction with Rs. 136 crore, Patar to Asani four lane construction with Rs. 130 crore, Zero Mile to Asani four lane construction with Rs. 94 crore, Zero Mile to Asani widening with Rs. 94 crore, Zero Mile to Patar widening with Rs. 34 crore, Ananya Devi to Ara-Buxar four lane construction with Rs. 37 crore, Gnaga Path connectivity from Koelwar to Sandeh with Rs. 37 crore.
Besides, Naraynai-Ganga Corridor-a greenfield high-speed corridor will be constructed from Bagaha to Patar in Bhojpur district at cost of Rs. 4000 crore, wich will directly benefit six districts of Bihar.
Upgrading the Ara-Chhapara four lane to six lane for smooth traffic movement. This road is being convered into six lane which will provide relief to the people of Patna, Bhojpur and Chhapara districts. Development of Dev Surya Temple of Tarari to promote tourism. This temple will be beautified and facilities for tourists will be expanded. New office buildings will be constructed in Ara Sadar, Udwantnagar, Koelwar, Charpokhari, Tarari, Piro, Bihia, Shahpur, Sandesh and Sahar blocks.
The campus of the Government Polytechnic College located at Kakila Panchayat will be developed wich includes construction of playgroun, tree plantation and open gym.
The construction work of all these projects is planned from April-May 2025. The district administration has expedited the tender process so that the work on the schemes can start on time.
