INTERMEDIATE GIRL STUDENT COMMITS SUICIDE

Ara, 11 June 2023, (RNI): One Intermediate girl student committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of her home at Paharpur village under Gadhani police station in the late evening on June 10, 2023 after she had a hot discussion with her sister. The deceased was identified as Tanu Kumari 17 of Paharpur village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Gadhani police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

SHO Gadhani police station Rajiv Ranjan Singh said that a TV in the house had broken down and Tanu Kumari said her mother that she would repair the TV if she gave her Rs. 50. She repaired the TV and demanded Rs. 50 from her mother. At this her elder sister said that mangoes were bought for her and she should eat mango and sleep. Both the sisters had a tiff. After quarrel, Tanu Kumari went to a room at the roof and committed suicide by hanging to the ceiling. When her mother went to the roof, she found that Tanu Kumari was hanging to the ceiling. She raised alarm. Hearing her cry, other family members and the villagers rushed to the spot and inform the police.
