MARRIED WOMAN KILLED UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

A case of death of a married woman under mysterious circumstances at Maraha village under Sinha police station of Badahara block in Bhojpur district came to light. The deceased was identified as Sita Devi 25 wife of Raj Kumar Turaha of Maraha village under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district.

ARA (RNI) A case of death of a married woman under mysterious circumstances at Maraha village under Sinha police station of Badahara block in Bhojpur district came to light. The deceased was identified as Sita Devi 25 wife of Raj Kumar Turaha of Maraha village under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospitl for postmortem. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Sinha police station against the in-laws of the deceased including the husband on the husband of Vijay Tiraha father of the deceased. Police are investigating the matter. Police are also conducting raids to arrest the named accused in the case.

Vijay Turaha said that the villagers informed him in the morning that his daughter is now no more. He along with his family member rushed to Maraha village and found the body of his daughter hanging to the ceiling fan and her in-laws were not there. He said that Raj Kumar Turaha along with his younger brother and father was thrashing her for the last three days for motorcycle.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Sinha police station Chandra Shekhar Chauhan said that Vijay Tiraha of Dumrao in Buxar district had married his daughter Sita Devi to Raj Kumar Turaha of Maraha village under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district in the year 2022. Since the in-laws tortured her mentally and physically for merely a motorcycle and when their demand was not fulfilled, they strangulated her to death and hanged her body to the ceiling fan to give colour of suicide. The SHO said that a named FIR has been lodged with the police against the husband Raj Kumar Turaha, brother-in-law Mantu Turaha and the father-in-law Heera Lal Turaha. He added that the exact cause of death would be confirmed after the postmortem report is received.
