ARA-------------------------Patna-Buxar Four-Lane Highway-922 has been constructed for smooth and safe travel but there are still many flaws on this highway. At the tall, the entire amount is deducted from the fast tag of four-wheelers to heavy vehicles but in terms of convenience, it is proving to be a complete failure.

This reporter inspected the Highway at Koelwar Mahbhawan Mor, Jhalakunagar and Sakadi Mor and many flaws were still visible on the highway. Without traffic signals, police personnel manage traffic in the torch light. Even after months of instructions of the Bhojpur District Magistrate, high mast lights have not been installed which makes a pleasant journey seem like a scary one.

Near the Manbhawan Mor, a truck loaded with sand going towards Chhapara on Chhapara-Ara main road under Koelwar police station was stranded on NH-922 due to traffic jam causing movement of vehicles towards Ara from Patna on the wrong side. At the Manbhawan Mor on the Ara-Patna Highway of four-lane Highway where there is heavy vehicular traffic pressure from three sides towards Chhapra. Despite this, there is no traffic signal at this busy road. On the instructions of the Bhojpu DM and the SP, a police control room was built but high mast lights have not been installed yet. Due to lack of police arrangements at Jhalkunagar Mor of Ara-Chhapara Highway, small vehicles become victims of the arbitrariness of truck drivers and get stuck in traffic jams.

Vehicles come from the Sakkadi-Nasariganj Highway to the Patna-Buxar Four-Lane Highway at the Sakkadi Mor, most of which are trucks loaded with sand. There is a temporary police control room at this Mor. The Police control the vehicles moving at a great speed with the help of torch. There is a lack of high mast lights and traffic signals due to which accidents keep happening.

While returning, one lane remains jammed at the toll plaza from Sakkadi Mor to Manbhawan Mor due to which one is forced to go on the wrong side and may c cause accident sooner or later.

Samad Ansari, Ward Councillor, Nagar Panchayat, Koelwar and Dinesh Bind, Surodha Colony, Koelwar said that sand is spread all around on the toll road of the Highway while full toll charges are made. Despite, no effort is made to remove the sand from the road. Even the instructions of the senior officials have no meaning. High mast lights have not been installed so far at Sakaddi or Manbhawan Mor.
