BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED FIVE MISCREANTS OF INTER-STATE GANG

ARA------------------------------Bhojpur police, acting of a tip off, busted an inter-state gang of thieves and arrested five members of the gang. The members of the gang, in guise of balloon sellers, steal valuables from houses at Ara in Bhojpur district. The police also recovered stolen jewelries, clothes and other valuables form them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Radhe Shyam, Romeo Kumar of Jaipur in Rajasthan, Banty Kumar of Maihar, Madhya Pradesh, Loknath alias Bhola and Pintu Kumar of Ramgarhia under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district of Bihar. Later the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO Ara town police station Devraj Rai said that some miscreants had stolen valuables worth about Rs. 10 lakh from the house of Deepak Kumar Singh at jai Hind Colony, Shiv Ganga Nagar, Majhaua Bridge under Ara town police station in the night on April 5, 2024 and an FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station in this regard. In the meantime, the police, acting on a tip off, conducted raid at Ramana Maidan and arrested three miscreants Radhe Shyam, Romeo Kumar of Jaipur in Rajasthan and Bunty Kumar of Maihar in Madhya Pradesh. On their revelation, the police arrested Loknath alias Bhola and Pintu Kumar of Ramgarhia under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district of Bihar. The police also recovered 300 grams of melted silver, clothes, some tools used in theft and an empty jewelry box.

The SHO stated that the arrested miscreants confessed during interrogation that Radhe Shyam, Rokeo Kumar of Jaipur in Rajasthan and Bunty Kumar of Maihar in Madhya Pradesh used to sell balloon by roaming in the streets of the locality at Ara and marked the closed houses during day hours and carried out incidents of theft in the night. Their modus operandi reminds mythological story ‘Alibaba and 40 thieves.’  

The SHO further said that Loknath alias Bhola and Pintu Kumar of Ara in Bihar were involved in buying and selling stolen goods and the silver jewelries were melted so that they could not be identified. Police are contacting Rajasthan and MP police and collecting detailed information about the three miscreants.
