HUSBAND COMMITTED SUICIDE BY CONSUMING POISON AFTER A PETTIFOGGERY WITH HIS WIFE

ARA (RNI) After a pettifoggery in between husband and wife, husband consumed poison and committed suicide at Devi Sthan locality under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Ravi Kumar 32 son of late Damodar Prasad of Devi Sthan Gupta Jee Lane under Ara town police station. He was an employee in Johnson Company. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Police are investigating the matter.

Suraj Kumar, elder brother of the deceased said that Ravi Kumar was married to Shalini Kumari about three and half a year ago and had a one and half a year old girl child. Since marriage, both quarreled over trivial issue. On May 2, 2024, both quarreled once again in the night over trivial issue. Infuriated, Ravi Kumar consumed Sulphos tablet and as a result his condition deteriorated. The family members admitted him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. Despite the family members took him to a private nursing home at Ara where his condition further deteriorated and at last he breathed his last.
