ARA-------------------------Additional District and Session Judge VI cum POCSO Arbind Kumar Singh awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to a person Manoj Yadav and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on him in connection with outraging modesty of a teenage girl. The victim will get the fine amount.

Speical Public Prosecutor, POCSO, Saroj Kumari said that a teenage girl had gone to the field to attend call of nature in a village under Agiaw Bazaar police station area in Bhojpur district in the late evening on March, 2023 but she did not return home. Her family members searched for her everywhere but in vain. Next day, the police came with the girl in the morning. The girl narrated her woes to her family members and said that when she was attending call of nature, Manoj Yadav tied her mouth with towel and took her to a secluded place where she outraged her modesty the whole night and late left her outside the village nearby. She told the police the whole story and the police brought her home. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Agiaw police station against Manoj Yadav on the statement of the girl in this regard.

Hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Manoj Yadav under 376(3) IPC and 6 POCSO Act and also slapped a fine of Rs. 1 lakh on him.

In another case, Additional District and Session Judge VIII, Ara Civil Court Neeraj Kishore awards rigorous life imprisonment to tow persons Collector Musahar and Sonu Musahar rigorous life imprisonment and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of them in connection with murder of a person and injuring two persons including a woman. The court also found guilty Nand Kishore Musahar, Tulasi Musahar, Kalawati Musahar, Munni Devi and Dadan Musahar and awarded them imprisonment of the period they had spent in the jail under 147 and 148 IPC.

APP Manik Kumar Singh said that some miscreants killed Jahaj Musahar of Balua (Belaghat) under Ara Muffassil police station with sharp edged weapon in the village on March 10, 2020 while injured Vijay Musahar, Chinta Musahar with traditional weapon over a trivial issue. Later a named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara Muffassil police station in this regard.

After hearing both the parties, the DJ VIII awarded rigorous life imprisonment to Collector Musahar and Sonu Musahar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 10,000 on each of them. The court also found Nand Kishore Musahar, Tulasi Musahar, Kalawati Musahar, Munni Devi and Dadan Musahar guilty and awarded them imprisonment of the period they had spent in the jail under 147 and 148 IPC.
