BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST DRUG PEDDLER WITH HEROIN AND Rs. 3.87 LAKH IN CASH

Ara, 6 July 2023, (RNI): Bhojpur police arrested a drug peddler from Belaur village under Udwantnagar police station and seized 11 packets of heroin, 100 pieces of paper, 230 gram rubber, 48 gram aluminum coils, three mobiles and about Rs. 3.87 lakh in cash. The arrested drug peddler was identified as Shiv Kumar Chaudhary alias Goga son of Ram Awadhesh Chaudhary of Belaur village. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station against him and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that a police team had gone to Belaur village to arrest a suspect but on the way Shiv Kumar Chaudhary alias Goga with a bag on his back, seeing the police tried to flee but the police chased and arrested him. When the police searched his bag, the police recovered 11 packets of heroin, 230 grams of rubber, 48 grams of aluminum coils, three mobiles and about Rs. 3.87 lakh in cash. The SP said during interrogation, he revealed that he earned the money by selling heroin and also revealed some names of his gang. Police are conducting raids to arrest other drug peddlers. Shiv Kumar Chaudhary was a regular offender and had been in jail for drug peddling.

In another incident, the SP said that the police arrested a miscreant in connection with murder of a youth. The miscreant was identified as Suraj Yadav son of Manu Yadav of Rudalpur village under Pawana police station.  

The SP said that one youth Indrajeet Kumar was beaten to death by a spade at Chandi village under the same police station on May 11, 2023 over some personal disputes. The Suraj Yadav was one of named accused. Police are conducting raids to arrest the rest miscreants.
