BUXAR POLICE ARREST TWO RAPISTS

Buxar, 31 May 2023, (RNI): Buxar police arrested two rapists in connection with outraging modesty of a teenage girl and sent them to jail after interrogation.

SHO Bhojpur police outpost said that Shrawan Kumar son of Laxman Paswan of Dalsagar village under Industrial police station, Nagendra Kumar son of Bihari Mahato of Pratapsagar village under New Bhojpur police outpost and Hare Krishna Yadav of Chanda village ran an Orchestra party at Dumraon in Buxar district. They decoyed a teenage girl and took her with them with a promise to provide a job in the orchestra and outraged her modesty. The girl somehow escaped from their clutches and narrated her woes to her father. Her father lodged a named FIR against Nagendra Kumar, Shrawan Kumar and Krishna Yadav in connection with outraging modesty of her daughter. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested Nagendra Kumar and Shrawan Kumar at once while Krishna Yadav is absconding. Police are conducting raids to arrest him. Later the police sent the arrested rapists to jail after interrogation. The police brought the girl to the Buxar Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her in the Buxar Civil Court to get her statement registered under section 164 CrPC.

Police officer Afaque Akhatar Ansari said that the police will, arrest third named accused very soon. He said that some people are engaged in luring girls of poor families in Bihar. They took the girl with them with a promise to provide jobs but dragged them flesh trades. People said that some people kept their lips tights with a fear of social stigma and in some cases police did not lodge FIRs. Sources said that these days charms of orchestra attracted teenage girls and they are easy prey of the gangs who either outraged their modesty or sell them out to the brothel.
