This meeting follows the recent conferment of the Bharat Ratna upon PV Narasimha Rao, a move spearheaded by Modi to acknowledge Rao's pivotal role in India's economic reforms. Modi's outreach to Rao' s family is in recognition of his legacy as a key figure in shaping the post-independence India.
The meeting, which took place at Raj Bhavan immediately after Modi's arrival to Hyderabad, signifies his respect for PV Narasimha Rao, hailed as the pride of not only the telugu states but entire India.Notably, the Gandhi family and senior Congress leaders are yet to greet Rao' s family following the conferment of the award. Modi's meeting with PV Narasimha Rao's son, P.V. Prabhakar Rao, and other family members further solidifies the significance of honoring Rao's enduring legacy.
