Additional District and Session Judge IV, Buxar Civil Court, Vijendra Kumar awarded rigorous life imprisonment to four persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 on each of them in connection with murder.

Buxar, 25 May 2023, (RNI): Additional District and Session Judge IV, Buxar Civil Court, Vijendra Kumar awarded rigorous life imprisonment to four persons and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 on each of them in connection with murder.

APP, Buxar Civil Court, Binod Kumar Singh said that some persons had called Sushil Pandey son of Raghubansh Pandey of Charitravan under Buxar town police station from his house in the pretest of watching movie on June 18, 2001 but he did not return home till late night and so the family members searched for him everywhere but in vain. They lodged an FIR with the police under Buxar Town police station in connection with missing of Sushil Pandey. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and after a week, the police recovered his body from near a canal at Sumeshwar Sthan. After that Raghubansh Pandey lodged a named FIR with the police under Buxar Town police station against Mahendra Pathak and Jitendra Pathak of Gajdhara village under Rajpur police station, Prakash Chandra Tiwari of Bhaluha village under Rajpur police station and Dhashrath Chaudhary of Charitravan under Buxar town police station.

After hearing both the parties, the ADJ IV Vijendra Kumar convicted Mahendra Pathak, Jitendra Pathak, Prakash Chandra Tiwari and Dashrath Chaudhary. The court awarded rigorous life imprisonment to all the fours and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 on each of them.
