SEMINAR ON UCC ORGANIZED

Ara (RNI) A seminar was organized on Uniform Civil Code (UCC)at Hari Jee Ka Hata under the presidentship of RSS Pracharak Sampark Pramukh, South Bihar Province Ashok Kumar. Dr. Ashok Kumar Subbu, Sanjay Kumar Singh, Krishna Singh, Dr. Rajiv Nayan Agrawal, Amarjeet, Saroj Kumar, Mangal Murti and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, Ashok Kumar said that today the country is reeling under several social issues and they should be removed from the society without considering any caste, creed, race and religion and added that to put the society at par and make it uniform, UCC is needed. He said that marriage, divorce, maintenance, inheritance and adoption are five major aspects of the UCC. These evils are eroding the very fabric of the Indian society and culture.

A number of people present on the occasion also expressed their views on the issue and said that UCC is need of the hour. But they said such issues cannot be solved sitting in a closed room and it is very important to aware the people of every strata of society of the merits and importance of the UCC. They said that confusion and fear have to be removed from their minds. Nothing will be achieved just by enacting laws. Bringing change in the society is not so easy or a legal task, it can be brought about only with the cooperation of the people of the society. People accept changes very slow and now it is the duty of the government to win the heart and confidence of the people before implementing the UCC. They stressed need of organizations of such seminar in the presence of people of each and every strata of the society.

Dr. Ashok Kumar Subbu said that seminars are organized on issues of national and humanitarian importance be they family, social or religious, in the same sequence and this time a seminar on the subject of UCC has been organized.
