ARA-----------------------------Regarding the errors in service and the negligence, the District Consumers’ Grievance Redressal Commission, Bhojpur, Ara slaped a fine of Rs. 12,960 with interest on the Distributor and Jaguar Group and also ordered to pay additional fine of Rs. 10,000 to mental torture, Rs. 5000 for mental torture and financial loss and Rs. 3000 as legal cost to the beneficiaries.

Advocate of the defendant, Hari Shankar Singh said that Avanindra Kumar Tripathi complained the Bhojpur District Consumers’ Grievance Redressal Commission, Ara that he had purchased a commode from a distributor Vikas Kumar Gupta and manufactured by the Jaguar Group on March 25, 2023 at Rs. 12,960 and his mason had set the commode in his house but after some days, water started leaking from the commode. He informed the distributor regarding this but he did not pay any heed. He complained the Jaguar Group on his Toll Free number but the commode was not changed. So he knocked the door of the Bhojpur District Consumers’ Grievance Redressal Commission.

Hearing both the parties, the Bhojpur District Consumers’ Grievance Redressal Commission found flaws in the service and negligence on the part of the Distributor, Jaguar company and the manufacturer Jaguar Group and ordered them to pay the above mentioned amount to the complainant.
