BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED TWO MISCREANTS INCLUDING AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25000

ARA (rni) Bhojpur police arrested an awardee of Rs. 25000 on his head from near Kaura village under Jadishpur police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested miscreant was identified as Nitish Kumar of Dihari village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district and he had fled away from the police custody. The police later sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the police got information that a miscreant had taken shelter near Kaura village under Jadishpur police station and was looking to commit some crime. He at once formed a police team under the Jagdishpur SDPO Rajeev Chandra to arrest the miscreant. The police team conducted raid near Kaura village and arrested Nitish Kumar. He was wanted in connection with a loot case and three cases under Jagdishpur police station and one case under Ara town police station are pending. The SP said that the police had arrested him in connection with a loot case but he had fled away from the police custody on April 15, 2023 on NH-319 and since the police were hunting to arrest him. He added that Nitish Kumar had a long criminal history and in view of his criminal history, the police headquarter had announced an award of Rs. 25,000 on his head and he was also added to the top 10 list of criminals in Bhojpur district.

The SP stated that in another case, the police, acting on a tip off conducted raid near Sandesh Chowk under Sandesh police station in Bhojpur district and arrested a miscreant with firearms. The arrested miscreant was identified as Ranjan Kumar of Ahapura village under Sandesh police station. The police seized a country made pistol and live cartridges from his possession. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Sandesh police station and the police sent him to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur Sp Prmaod Kumar Yadav said that he got information that a miscreant was seen moving with firearms near Tirthkaul village under Sandesh police station. He at once formed a police team under the SHO Sandesh police station Aditya Kumar. The police team conducted raid and arrested Ranjan Kumar from near Sandesh Chowk under Sandesh police station and also recovered a country made pistol and three live cartridges from his possession. The SP stated that a case under the New Excise Act was pending with the police under Ara Nawada police station and he had been in jail in this regard.
