BUXAR-------------------------------A case of dragging out a married woman from the house merely for a gold chain, a motorcycle and Rs. one lakh in cash. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Buxar Woman police station against the in-laws on the statement of the woman. Police are investigating the matter.
Quoting the FIR, the SHO Woman Police Station Sujata Kumari said that Namrata Kumari daughter of Sripati Chaudhary of Gajdhara village under Rajpur police station in Buxar district in Bihar was married with Chhotu son of late Suresh Chaudhary of Nasirabad village under Muhammadabad police station of Gajipur district in Uttar Pradesh in May 2022. Since the marriage, the in-laws tortured her for a motorcycle, a gold chain and Rs. 1 lakh in cash and when their demands were not fulfilled, they dragged her out of the house four months after the marriage in November 2022. The family members of the girl tried their level best to admonish the matter but when their all efforts failed, Namrata Kumari lodged a named FIR against four persons including her husband. The SHO said that after interrogation, the police will take legal action against the guilty.
