Ara, 7 July 2023, (RNI): The work of sowing paddy seed in Bhojpur district is in the final stage and farmers have sown at least 84.03 percent against the target of11223 hectares.
The Agriculture department has set a target of planting seeds in 16223 hectares in Bhojpur district so that farmers do not face any problem in planting paddy and paddy can be produced according to their needs. The same target has been set for planting paddy in 16223 hectare of land. With a light rain for two days, progress in the seed planting in Bhojpur district in very good and almost all the farmers are sowing the seeds by plowing the fields with tractors and other means.
From dawn to dusk, there is brightness in the field and rail has made convenient to plough the fields. The southern part of Bhojpur district which is considered ‘bowel of rice’, a lot of paddy is planted and the work of sowing seeds is in the final stage. On the other hand, where the seedbed is ready, the farmers have also started planting paddy. Against the target of 116222 hectares of paddy planting by the department, paddy has been sown in 2.15 hectares in Badahara, 2 in Bihia and 10 hectares in Jagdishpur.
