Rs. 5.81 LAKH IS DUES AS RENT ON THE RESIDENCE OF THE BUXAR SDPO

BUXAR (RNI) Buxar got the status of district in the year 191 but till date Buxar Sadar Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) has not got the government residence office and so the SDPO is destined to live in a rented house and his office runs also in the rented house. But the rent has not been paid since last 2002 due to which the owner of the house, an office of the Water Resources Department wrote a letter to the SDPO for the payment of the rent of the building. The letter is issued from the house of the Sub-Divisional Officer, Sone canal Sub-Division, Buxar.

Even after 30 years of formation of the district, the Sadar SDPO has still not been able to get a house and an office under the district headquarters and so he is living in the inspection building of Sone Canal of the Water Resources Department of Buxar. Since last 2002, Sone Division has not been able to receive the rent for the said house. At the rate of approximately Rs. 5 per day, the rent of the building till March 2024 has gone up to Rs. 581676 and the surprising fact is that this is confirmed by the letter written by the Sone Canal to the Sadar SDPO.

The Sadar SDPO in Buxar district is not allotted government residence and office even after 33 years of formation of the district and the SDPO is destined to live in a rented house and runs his office in a rented building of the Sone Canal Division, Water Resources Department. The police department has not paid the rent of the Sadar SDPO residence cum office since 2002. About Rs. 6 lakh is dues and despite repeated notices from the Sone Canal Department, the rent is not being paid of the said office and residence. 

Vexed at the negligence, Sone Canal Officials apprised the senior officials of the department of the situation. The residence cum office of the Sadar SDPO of the police department operated temporarily in the inspection Building of the Water Resources Department located at Sone Canal, Buxar.

The Sone Canal official handed over the building only after the rent was fixed as per the condition. Sadar SDPO had to pay rent of Rs. 5 per day. Since last several years many police officers came and went in Buxar district but no one bother to pay the rent.

Regarding the outstanding rent of the Sadar SDPO residence cum office since 2002, the department also issued a letter to the police officer to deposit the full building rent.

The letter of about Rs. 6 lakh is issued to the Sadar SDPO by March 2024. In the case of illegal occupation of the Sone Canal land of the town, not only the land mafias but also the government machinery is involved in illegal occupation of the land. The Town Municipal Council constructed kataras at Jyoti Prakash Chowk without NOC by disregarding the rules. More than 50 Kataras have been constructed. According to the Sone Canal Department, the government machinery and the land mafias have illegally occupied at least 1019plces in the land of the Water Resources Department in Buxar district without NOC.
