THREE LADY LIQUOR SMUGGLERS ARRESTED, 236 BOTTLES OF IMFL SEIZED

Kaimur Sleuths of Excise Department, acting on a tip off, arrested three women with 236 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and sent them to jail after interrogation and also after lodging a named FIR under the New Excise Act.

BHABHUA (RNI) Kaimur Sleuths of Excise Department, acting on a tip off, arrested three women with 236 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) and sent them to jail after interrogation and also after lodging a named FIR under the New Excise Act. The arrested liquor smugglers were identified as Punam Devi wife of Upendra Ram, Rayaisa Bano wife of Iliyas Ansari of Rampur village Ward No 7 under Nokha police station and Rajmuni wife of late Surendra Chaudhary of Kamhar Toli, Hanuman Mandir Ward No 14 under Dehari police station in Rohtas district.

ASI Excise Department Shailesh Kumar said that the department got information that three women were coming from Uttar Pradesh with IMFL. The Excise Department immediately swung into action and launched vehicle checking drive Chhajupur Pokhara and Marhiya Mod. Meanwhile, the police intercepted an auto-rickshaw and when searched, the police recovered 236 bottles of IMFL and arrested all the three women liquor smugglers. He said that a named FIR was lodged with the police against the arrested liquor smugglers under section 30(A) of the Alcohol Prohibition and Product Amendment Act 2018 and sent them to jail under judicial custody.
