All types of vehicles including buses, trucks many types of four wheelers and motorcycles JCB machines, harvesters etc registered in other states are running in Bhojpur district for years just in violation of government rules. The morale of people is high as the transport department never bothers to take action against the recalcitrant vehicle owners and so they do not consider appropriate to register in the Bhojpur district.

Vehicles registered in other States are allowed to ply in any district without registration for six months only and they are considered illegal if the owners of vehicles do not register their vehicles with the transport department of the concerned district. The owners of vehicles registered in other States, have to get their vehicles registered with the transport department of their district within six months after informing the department and paying the prescribed fees and after that the registration numbers of vehicles are changed.

The owners of the vehicles operating in the district after registration from other States have to inform the transport department within six months. If the owners of vehicles failed to register in the transport department in Bhojpur district after giving notice for six months, the transport department of the district imposes penalty on them.

Normally a penalty of Rs. 5000 is imposed along with registration fee. The road tax department takes the amount of time the vehicles are being operated.

For commercial vehicles, Rs. 10,000 for 10 wheeler truck, Rs. 18000 for 12 wheeler truck, Rs. 22000 for 14 wheeler truck is charged by the road tax department their permit is made.
