Lok Sabha Election 2024: Voting on 88 seats increasing election excitement tomorrow

New Delhi (RNI) Amidst the gradually increasing election excitement, voting will be held tomorrow on 88 seats in 12 states and union territories in the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections.

In this phase, the fate of 1206 candidates including former Congress President Rahul Gandhi Wayanad, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla Kota, Union Minister Rajiv Chandrashekhar Thiruvananthapuram, actress Hema Malini Mathura and headline-grabbing Bahubali Pappu Yadav Purnia is to be decided. In the first phase, 19 Voting was held on 102 seats in April.

Election Commission sources said here today that complete arrangements have been made to conduct free and fair voting on these seats. Strict security arrangements have also been made. Special vigilance is being taken especially in those areas where there is a possibility of disturbances.

In this phase, Shri Gandhi's constituency Wayanad, Shri Birla Kota, actress Hema Mathura and Bahubali Pappu Yadav's constituency Purnia were in the news. The stalwarts of the opposition campaigned vigorously in the areas of these maharathis. The maximum heat was seen in Purnia where Mr. Yadav is contesting as an independent candidate.

During the first phase of election campaign, not only there was silence among the voters, but no special enthusiasm was seen among the candidates, but in the second phase of the campaign, amidst the silence of the voters, the leaders fired verbal shots at each other.

Attacks were made on the election manifesto, minority, Mangalsutra, former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, inflation and unemployment. When the opposition made many serious allegations against the ruling BJP, in response the BJP also raised nepotism and dynasticism. Regional parties left no stone unturned to corner BJP. L.S.
