ABSCONDING ARMS SMUGGLER ARRESTED IN BHOJPUR

ARA-----------------------Jehanabad police with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart arrested an absconding arms supplier. The arms supplier was identified as Shiv Jee Baitha son of Rameshwar Baitha of Chasi village under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district.

SDPO Rajeev Kumar Singh said that the Jehanabad police had unearthed a mini gun factory at Tehta village under the same police station about 11 months ago and had arrested its operator and sent him to jail. During interrogation, the operator had revealed that he made arms on order and also had revealed the name of the arms smuggler. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Tehta police station after that and since the arms smuggler was absconding. The SDPO further said that the police got information that the arms supplier had come to his native village. The Jehanabad police swung into action and reached Bhojpur and with the help of their Bhojpur counterpart, the police arrested him from his house at Chansi village under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district.

The SDPO further said that a number of cases including murder are pending with the police against the arms smuggler. Police are trying to know his connection. The arms smuggler had been in jail in Bhojpur district thrice earlier in connection with arms smuggling. Later the police sent him to jail after interrogation.
