BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25,000

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested two miscreants including an awardee of Rs. 25,000 from Sukhrauli village under Hasan Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested miscreants were identified as Banshidhar Thakur and his son Dhanpati Thakur of Dhanauti village under Charpokhari police station. They were absconding for about 21 years. The Ara Civil Court had issued warrant against them.

SHO Charpokhari police station Santosh Kumar said that he got information that both the absconding miscreants were seen at Sukhrauli village under Hasan Bazaar police station. He at once swung into action and conducted raid in the village and arrested Dhanpati Thakur and Banshidhar Thakur. The SHO said that Banshidhar Thakur had an award of Rs. 25000 on his head and both had taken shelter in the house of their relatives to escape arrest.

The SHO stated that a person was killed at Dhanauti village under Charpokhari police station in the year 2004 and a named FIR was lodged with the police under Charpokhari police station in this regard including Banshidhar Pandey and Dhanpati Pandey and since they were absconding. The court issued arrest warrant against them after they did not appear in the court despite several reminders.

At the direction of Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, a special campaign has been launched in entire Bhojpur district and total 63 named accused have so far been arrested.
