BROTHER-IN-LAW (JIJA) OUTRAGED MODESTY OF HER SISTER-IN-LAW (SAALI), ARRESTED

ARA (RNI) A case of outraging modesty of sister-in-law (saali) by her own brother-in-law (jija) along with his friend in a village under Badahara police station came out of closet. A named FIR has been lodged with the police under Badahara police station in this regard on the written statement of the girl. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested both the rapists and sent them to jail. The rapists were residents of Sohara village under Krishnagarh police station. The police brought the girl to the Ara Sadar Hospital for medical examination and also produced her in the Ara Civil Court to get her statement under section 164 CrPC.

SHO Badahara police station Vijay Prasad said that one of the rapists of Sohara village under Krishnagarh police station was married in a village under Badahara police station. He said that when the girl had gone to the field to attend call of nature, her brother-in-law (jija) along with his friend came there on a motorcycle and forcibly took her to a field of another village where they outraged her modesty one by one the whole night. Whenever the girl tried to cry, they gagged her voice. After outraging her modesty, they tied her and escaped from the scene leaving her in the field all alone. When the girl did not return from the field, her family member searched for her but in vain. Next day in the morning, some villagers saw her lying tied in the field, they freed her and also informed her family members. On information, her family members rushed to the spot and informed the police.

The SHO further stated that at the time of the incident, wife of the brother-in-law (jija) was in her parents’ house. He said after institution of FIR, he with the help of his Krishnagarh counterpart arrested both the rapists and sent them to jail.
