SASARAM-------------------------------At least four persons including Mukhia, Up-Sarpanch and Ward Member were killed while four other injured when a Scorpio turned turtle into Kanchan river near Semari Yogia village of Dinara block in Rohtas district in the late evening on January 17, 2024. Three of the deceased were identified as Umesh Paswan, Mukhia Bicikalan panchayat, Up-Sarpanch Bipin Giri and Ward Member Bicikhurd Mahendra Pal while the two injured were identified as Chandan Paswan and Ravi Paswan of Koiriya village. Later the police recovered the bodies and brought them to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there.
The injured said that at least a dozen persons were returning from a birthday party in a Scorpio and when they reached on a Bridge over the Kanchan river near Semaria Yogia village of Dinara block in Rohtas district in the late evening on January 17, 2024, the driver lost control over the steering and the Scorpio fell into the river killing four persons on spot and injuring the same number.
