KAIMUR POLICE SEIZE 60 BUFFALOS AND ARREST FOUR CATTLE SMUGGLERS
Kaimur police, acting on a tip off, seized 60 buffalos loaded on two containers on NH-2 under Mohania police station in Kaimuar district and also arrested four cattle smugglers. The arrested cattle smugglers were identified as Momin, Md. Naseem, Ahamad and Alkar of Uttar Pradesh.
BHABHUA (RNI) Kaimur police, acting on a tip off, seized 60 buffalos loaded on two containers on NH-2 under Mohania police station in Kaimuar district and also arrested four cattle smugglers. The arrested cattle smugglers were identified as Momin, Md. Naseem, Ahamad and Alkar of Uttar Pradesh.
SDPO Mohania Dilip Kumar said that the Kaimur police got information that cattle are being smuggled in large number from Muzzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh. The police swung into action and interrupted two containers near Kasauta Canal under Mohanai police station and seized 60 buffalos loaded on two containers. The police seized the containers and also arrested four cattle smugglers. The SDPO said that police are trying to know the mastermind of gang and the cattle mafia. He added that a named FIR has been lodged with the police under Mohania police station against the arrested cattle smugglers and sent them to jail after interrogation. Later the police gave the seized buffalos to an owner of a cattle fair of the area to look after them.
