MARRIED WOMAN STRANGULATED TO DEATH IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA--------------------------One married woman was strangulated to death at Dihari village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district merely for Rs. 5 lakh. The deceased was identified as Kamal Kumari 19 wife of Alok Yadav alias Vishwakarma Singh of Dihari village. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Udwantnagar police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter.

SHO Udwantnagar police station Komal Kumari daughter of Sudama Rai of Loha Tola under Rivilganj police station in Chhapara district was married with Alok Yadav alias Vishwakarma Singh son of Suresh Rai of Dihari village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district about seven months ago on May 15, 2023. Since the in-laws tortured her physically and mentally merely for Rs. 5 lakh and so she was living with her parents. On December 30, 2023, she returned to her in-laws with her nephew Kavi Ranjan Kumar who returned on December 31, 2023. On January 1, 2024 late in the evening, the in-laws informed that she was ailing. Her family members rushed to Dehari village where Kamal Kumari was lying dead in her room while all her in-laws were absconding. They informed the police about the murder of the woman and the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. Nephew of the deceased Kavi Ranjan Kumar blamed Alok Yadav alias Vishwakarma Singh and other in-laws of killing her after strangulating her merely for Rs. 5 lakh.
