ARA--------------------------Some unidentified armed miscreants shot at and injured an owner of an electronic shop near a Bridge at Gadhani Bazaar under Gadhani police station on Ara-Sasaram State Highway in Bhojpur district. The injured was admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctor referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition though the family members admitted him in a private nursing home at Ara. Irate villagers blocked the road and raised slogans against the district administration and demanded arrest of the miscreants at the earliest. The injured was identified as Anup Kumar 23 son of Satyendra Singh of Balbandh village under Charpokhari police station in Bhojpur district. Tension prevails in and around Gadhani Bazaar following the incident. On information police force and the probationer DSP Rashmi Kumari rushed to the hospital and started investigating the matter. An FIR has been lodged with the police under Gadhani police station in this regard and the police are investigating the matter and also conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
After the incident, business organization became agitated and they blocked the Gadhani Gola Bazaar and paralyzed movement of vehicles. They burnt tyres on road raised slogans against the district administration. They were demanding arrest of miscreants at the earliest. The SHO Gadhani police station along with police force rushed to the spot and tried to remove the blockade. After much persuasion and assurance of the SHO to arrest the miscreant at the earliest, the blockade could be lifted.
Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that Anup Kumar son of Satyendra Yadav has an electronic shop at Gadhani Bazaar under Gadhani police station in Bhojpur district and he got information that some armed miscreants shot at and injured Anup Kumar at Gadhani Bazaar under Gadhani police station though he is out of danger. He added that love affair is said to be the cause behind the incident and his relatives had shot at and injured him. Police are conducting raids to arrest the miscreants.
