MISCREANTS SHOT AT AND INJURED A MARRIED WOMAN

Ara (RNI) Some unidentified armed miscreants entered the house of Public Distribution System (PDS) dealer at Ward No 5 of Bihia under the same police station in Bhojpur district in the late evening on December 22, 2023 and shot at and injured a married woman and escaped from the scene. The injured was identified as Ranju Devi 42 wife of the PDS dealer Umesh Singh. The injured was admitted to the Bihia Community Health Centre but the doctor referred her to the Ara Sadar Hospital after first aid. Police are investigating the matter though reason behind the incident is still to be ascertained.
Sources said that Ranju Devi was sitting at the verandah of her house at Bihia Ward No 5 under Bihia police station when three unidentified armed miscreants entered the house and pumped two bullets into her body and escaped from the scene.
SDPO, Jagdishpur Rajeev Chandra Singh along with police force rushed to the spot and investigated the matter. He said that the police are going through the CCTV footage and added that the miscreants would be arrested very soon. He said that the miscreants had parked their motorcycle at some distance from the incident site and escaped from the scene after the incident on the motorcycle.
Sources said that sons of the injured had some dispute with someone and the incident took place to take revenge.
