17 INMATES OF ARA JAIL SHIFTED TO BHAGALPUR CENTRAL JAIL

Ara, 4 December 2022, (RNI): Altogether 17 inmates of Ara jail operating criminal gangs from inside the jail through mobiles were shifted to the Bhagalpur Central jail under tight security coverage in the morning today by the order of jail IG after recovery of 43 mobiles within 5 days.

Earlier a named FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against 14 inmates of Ara jail including half a dozen notorious criminals after seizure of mobiles from their possession. Most of the inmates who were shifted to the central jail third part and Zubba Sahani Central Jail, Bhagalpur, are history shitters.

The inmates who were shifted to the Bhagalpur Central Jail Third Section Three included Dhan Ji Yadav, Rajesh Yadav, Binod Yadav, Vikas Yadav, Dheepak Dhanuk, Haresh Mishra, Basant Mishra, Pawan Chaudhary, Md Belal, and Deepak Mahato while Vishnu Singh, Atul Pandey alias Nikhil Pandey, Md Annu Rahman alias Md Shahruddin, Akash Rai, Ashish Paswan, Narad Yadav, Dimple Mahato were shifted to the Zubba Sahani Central Jail, Bhagalpur. Most of them were accused of murder, extortion and firing.

Reportedly, the Ara jail has become a den of criminals and the inmates were operating their gangs through mobiles in Bhojpur district from inside the jail. The inmates were found involved in murders and extortions during investigation of criminal activities in the district.

Recently the Bhojpur police got perfect clues of involvement of inmates languishing in the Ara jail in the crimes incurred in Bhojpur district. Bashishth Prasad alias Mantoo Sonar, former ward councilor was murdered on the campus of a hotel at Shahpur Bazaar under Shahpur police station and it came to the knowledge that the murder took place at the behest of inmates of Ara jail.

It was said that members of a gang involved in several heinous crimes were languishing in the Ara jail. They are friends and commits crimes. It was said that mobiles and other objectionable articles could not reached to the inmates without the connivance of the jail authorities.
