AN ELDERLY PERSON CRUSHED TO DEATH WHILE A MINOR GIRL INJURED IN ROHTAS VILLAGE

SASARAM (RNI) Sand laden speeding tractor crushed to death an elderly person and injured his minor granddaughter at Sinhawa village under Dharmpura police outpost in Rohtas district. The deceased was identified as Nathuni Rai while the injured was identified as Putul Kumari 10. Police recovered the body and brought it to the Sasaram Sadar Hospital for postmortem and admitted the injured there. As the news spread, the villagers became agitated and blocked the Baraon-Dinara main road and paralyzed movement of vehicles for about two hours. They raised slogans against the district administration and demanded compensation for the family of the deceased.
Family members of the deceased said that Nathuni Rai along with his granddaughter Putul Kumar was on morning walk when a sand laden speeding tractor crushed Nathuni Rai to death on spot and injured Putul Kumari though the police seized the tractor and arrested the driver.
