FATHER-IN-LAW ARRESTED FOR MURDER OF HIS DAUGHTER-IN-LAW IN BHOJPUR VILLAGE

ARA (RNI) Bhojpur police arrested father-in-law in connection with murder of a married woman at Belauti village under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district and sent him to jail. Police are conducting raids to arrest other named accused in this regard. The arrested person was identified as Rangila Dom. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Shahpur police station against the husband, Rajan Dom, father-in-law, Rangila Dom, brother-in-law, Sajan Dom, Uncle-in-law Dwarika Dom and others on the statement of the brother of the deceased Dharmendra Dom regarding the murder. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested the father-in-law.

Quoting the FIR, the SHO Shahpur police station Rajanikant Kumar said that Sarala Dom 35 wife of Rajan Dom of Belauti village under Shahpur police station had returned to her in-laws house from her father some days ago. At about midnight on March 22, 2024, her husband along with his father, uncle and brother administered her liquor forcibly. Later they thrashed her with traditional weapons and also stabbed her to death.
