Rally at Ramlila Maidan demanding the status of cow as mother of the nation

New Delhi, (RNI) Sadhus, saints and cow lovers held a huge rally at the historic Ramlila Maidan here today, demanding for cow protection and the status of cow as the mother of the nation.

In this rally organized under “Rashtramata Gau Mangalam Abhiyanam”, the speakers demanded protection of cows and giving the cow the status of Rashtramata.

Famous story teller and pioneer of cow protection movement Shri Gopal Mani Maharaj said that cow has been given the status of mother in religious scriptures.

Rajendra Singh Parihar, head of Chhattisgarh Building Construction Labour's Federation, who is taking part in the movement, said that if the demands are not met, then the public campaign for this will be intensified from February, next year.

Supreme Court lawyer Keshav Chaudhary said that the demand of cow lovers & devotees is justified. The government should pay attention to this.L.S.
