ARA--------------------------Additional and District and Session Judge VI, Ara Civil Court Arvind Kumar Singh awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment to Vikas Kumar and also slapped a fine of Rs. 40,000 on him in connection with outraging the modesty of a teenage girl.
Special Public Prosecutor, Protection of Children from Sexual Offence (POCSO) Saroj Kumar said that a teenage girl was studying in her house on February 19, 2020 and her parents had gone to a marriage ceremony a youth Vikas Kumar entered the house and outraged her modesty. She narrated her woes after her parents returned. A named FIR was lodged under the concerned police station on the statement of the girl.
After hearing both the parties, the ADJ VI, Ara Civil Court, Arvind Kumar Singh held Vikas Kumar guilty of rape and awarded rigorous 20 years imprisonment and also slapped a fined of Rs. 40,000 on him.
