BHOJPUR POLICE ARREST SUPPLIER OF FIREARMS TO THE MISCREANTS FROM VAISHALI DISTRICT

ARA-------------------------Bhojpur police with the help of their Vaishali counterpart arrested a miscreant from Hajipur of Vaishali district in connection with robbery of over Rs. 10 crore from Tanishq Show room at Gupali Chowk under Ara town police station on March 10, 2025. The arrested miscreant was identified as Sonu Kumar of Majhauli village under Bidupur police station in Vaishali district. Police are investigating him. At least 17 miscreants including liner, receiver and patrons were arrested. The arrested miscreant confessed during interrogation that he had supplied arms and motorcycles to the robbers. His name was cropped up during interrogation of arrested miscreants. Police are now conducting raids to arrest the main receiver and five other miscreants involved in the robbery.

Police sources said that after the name of Sonu Kumar came to light in connection with loot of jewelleries worth about Rs. 10.05 crore from the Tanishq Show Room at Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station, a police team was formed under the ASHO Arvind Kumar and the police team with the help of their Vaishali counterpart arrested Sonu Kumar from Hajipur of Vaishali district and brought him to Ara. The police have arrested 17 miscreants so far in this regard and are conducting to arrest the main receiver and five other miscreants in this connection. The ASHO said that the police have so far recovered 2.5 kilogram of jewelleries, looted rifle and four pistols. The police have interrogated the mastermind of the case Sheru Singh and Sonia Subodh Singh.

It may be recalled that some armed miscreants had looted jewelleries of gold from the Tanishq Show Room at Gopali Chowk under Ara town police station on March 10, 2025 at about 10am but the police arrested two miscreants Kunal and Vishal of Saran district after an encounter under Badahara police station area immediate after the incident and the police on the revelation of both the arrested miscreants and also on the basis of CCTV footage identified the miscreants and arrested 17 miscreants so far in this regard. The police had to conduct raids in different areas of Haryana, Delhi, Chhattisgarh, Uttrakhand, Karanatak, Jammu and Uttar Pradesh besides Bihar.
