BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED AN AWARDEE OF Rs. 25000

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested a dreaded criminal bearing an award of Rs. 25000 on his head in connection with loot from a restaurant manager and other five criminal cases including murder. The arrested miscreant was identified as Vikas Kumar son of Jai Kishore Singh of Bhagwatipur village under Udwantnagar police station in Bhojpur district. He was counted among top 10 wanted criminals of Bhojpur district and five criminal cases are pending against him in the Ara Muffasil, Nawada and Udwantnagar police stations. Three members of his gang are already languishing in the Ara jail.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Singh said that he got information that an awardee of Rs. 25000 Vikas Kumar had come to his native village at Bhagwatipur and was looking to commit some crime. He at once formed a police team. The police team conducted raid at Bhagwatipurj village under Udwantnagar police station and arrested him. Vikas Kumar confessed before the police his involvement in a murder under Ara Muffasil police station area and loot under Udwantnagar police station area and also revealed names of his some aides.

The SP stated that Vikas Kumar is a dreaded criminal and the police had announced an award of Rs.25000 on his head. He added that some miscreants had shot dead a restaurant manager Vishal Singh during a loot from him near Daulatpur village under Ara Muffassil police station on August 27, 2023 night when he was going home on his motorcycle from the restaurant situated near Ramana Maidan after finishing his duty. The deceased was a resident of Farana village under Badahara police station in Bhojpur district. The police arrested two miscreants inn this regard at that time and during interrogation, the arrested miscreants had named Vikas Kumar. The SP further said that on August 26, 2023, the miscreants had shot at a motorcycle borne youth on Ara-Saraiya road under Ara Muffassil police station and snatched cash and bag.
