BHOJPUR POLICE SEIZED 8395 BOTTLES OF IMFL, ARREST ONE LIQUOR SMUGGLER

ARA--------------------------Bhojpur police conducted raid near SPG Private School under Giddha police outpost in Bhojpur district and seized 8395 bottles of India Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) loaded on a truck. The police also arrested a person in this connection. The arrested person was identified as Bhagirath Ram of Bhunia village under Dhanau police station of Barmed district in Rajasthan.

Bhojpur SP Pramod Kumar Yadav said that the Prohibition Department got information that liquor smuggler was coming to Ara with a big consignment of IMFL on a truck from Chandigarh, Haryana. He at once formed a police team under the Ara SDPO Chandra Prakash and the police launched a special raid campaign near a SPG private school under Giddha police outpost at Koewlar in Bhojpur district. Meanwhile, the police intercepted a truck and when checked, the police recovered 8395 bottles of IMFL and arrested a liquor smuggler. The SP stated that the police are interrogating the arrested liquor smuggler to know as to whom he was to deliver the consignment and who are involved in the racket.
