DEPUTY CM INAUGURATES NEW MODEL HOSPITAL BUILDING WITH ALL LATEST TECHNOLOGY

Ara, 20 July 2023, (RNI): Deputy Chief Minister, Bihar and Health Minister cum Minister-in-charge, Bhojpur district Tezaswi Yadav inaugurated New Model Hospital Building, IPD, Emergency Ward OT and PICU equipped with latest technology on the campus of Ara Sadar Hospital today. He also inaugurated ‘Martyrs Memorial on the campus of Ara Collectorate. Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Health Pratyay Amrit, Secretary, Health Department, Sanjay Kumar, MD BMSICL, Dinesh Kumar, MLAs Raghwendra Pratap Singh, Rahul Tiwari, Kiran Devi, Sudama Prasad, Manoj Manjil, Ram Vishun Singh Lohia, MLC Radha Charah Sah, Mayor, Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) Indu Devi, Bhojpur DM Raj Kumar, SP Pramod Kumar Tadav, DDC  and others were present on the occasion.

Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Chief Minister Tizaswi Yadav said that from today the people of Ara will get all the required facilities at the Ara Sadar Hospital. He said that PICU is also inaugurated where the neo-natal and children up to 14 years of age will be treated. He stated that still a lot of work is to be done which will be completed and the government has decided to build a hostel for the JNMs and they will be shifted to the new building by August 15, 2023.

Tezaswi Yadav stated that the government is determined to provide all types of facilities at the hospital as it is their rights and the responsibility of the government. The people of Bihar elected us and we are responsible for the people of the State and work for their benefits. The UPA now India is  working under the leadership of the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and not a single Bihari is not deprived of his or her rights and to achieve this goal, the government has started Mission 60 days. He said that doctors should be available in the hospital and its surrounding should be neat and clean.

He further stated that the patients should get all the facilities they needed at the hospital. They should get medicines and the machines should be operative. The kitchen of Didi has been started and this is working smoothly. He said that a lot of work has been done under the 60 days mission and he and his officials are monitoring all these. He added that the management of the Ara Sadar Hospital was not satisfactory and his government decided to make the Ara Sadar Hospital a model hospital and today the dream came ture.

He said that the government is making all efforts to ensure presence of doctors at the Sadar Hospital and added that Bihar has competent doctors and nursing staffs but the doctors remained absent for three or five years despite remaining on duty. They never go to their place of posting and so the government took stern action against at least 1000 recalcitrant doctors. He said that the profession of a doctor is considered as service to humanity and not as a job.

He added that earlier only 200 to 300 medicines were available at the hospital but now 500 medicines are available. He added that he has decided to install display to show the availability of medicines to patients and any deficiency would be removed in the health. He added that the government will take stern action against the negligent staffs, officials even the doctors. S

The BMSICL was assigned the task of building the three storey New Model Hospital building with 500 beds and PICU on the campus of Ara Sadar Hospital with the estimated cost of Rs. 40 crore. Besides, a Pre-Fabricated Hospital with 40 beds constructed with the estimated cost of Rs. 2.4 crore is also inaugurated. A new emergency ward with 25 beds is also made. In the ground floor of the New Model Building, an emergency ward is made while in the first floor is medical ward and the in the second floor is operation theatre. At present three operation theatres are operational now.

Manager, Ara Sadar Hospital, Shashikant said that the outcome of the Ara Sadar Hospital is the best in Bihar and after modifying its infrastructure, it will become the best hospital in Bihar and the government is making every effort in this regard.

The manager said that the emergency ward has 11 beds of which 6 beds are put under red zone and 5 in yellow zone. He said that like emergency ward, the observation has also 12 beds and a CSSD and a laundry are behind the observation ward. At the first floor, there are medical and surgical wards and a kitchen while at the second floor, there are OT, ICU and Surgical ward. The Hospital manager further said that PICU is made with the estimated cost of Rs. 2.4 crore and has 10 HDU beds, 12 ICU beds and 20 normal beds and added that the child under monitoring will be kept in HDU and the neo natal over 28 days will admitted to the PICU.
