MOTHER AND HER CHILD DIED DURING DELIVERY

ARA---------------------------Mother and her new born child died during delivery at the Additional Primary Health Centre at Gaziapur village under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Pramila Devi 24 wife of Naresh Kumar of Nurpur village under Sinha police station. After her death, the family members and her acquaintance created a ruckus at the Additional PHC accusing negligence in treatment. The security guards present there somehow admonished them.

Yashoda Devi, sister-in-law (nanad) of the deceased said that Pramila Devi was pregnant and she had severe labour pain and so the family members admitted her in the Additional Primary Health Centre at Gaziyapur under Sinha police station in Bhojpur district for delivery. The lady doctor and nursing staffs examined her and said that she was going to give birth soon and so the nursing staffs made her lie down on the bed. During the delivery, the doctors and nursing staffs a pull which increased the pain all the more and her condition deteriorated. The doctor administered some injection but it did not work. When her condition did not improve, the family members rushed her to the Ara Sadar Hospital but she breathed her last on way to the Ara Sadar Hospital. Yashoda Devi blamed the doctor and nursing staffs of her murder and said that a pull during delivery by the doctor and the nursing staffs and also dereliction of duty claimed the life of her and her child.
