According to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, with the publication of the draft of the voter list, the process of adding new names to the voter list and deleting the names of deceased voters from the voter list started. As per the draft publication of voter list in Bhojpur district, the total number of voters is 21 lakh 34 thousand and 626 of which male voters are 11 lakh 33 thousand 64 while the female voters are 10 lakh and 1525 while the number of third gender is 37.

ARA---------------------Under the special brief revision programme in Bhojpur district, the draft of voter list of all the seven assembly constituencies is published. According to the guidelines of the Election Commission of India, with the publication of the draft of the voter list, the process of adding new names to the voter list and deleting the names of deceased voters from the voter list started. As per the draft publication of voter list in Bhojpur district, the total number of voters is 21 lakh 34 thousand and 626 of which male voters are 11 lakh 33 thousand 64 while the female voters are 10 lakh and 1525 while the number of third gender is 37.

The draft shows that the total number of voters in 192-Sandesh Assembly Constituency is 2 lakh 90 thousand and 320 while the total number of voters in 193-Badahara Assembly Constituency is 3lakh 10 thousand and 17 whereas the number of voters in 194-Ara Assembly Constituency is 3lakh 34 thousand and 175. The total number of voters in 195-Agiaw Assembly Constituency is 2 lakh 69 thousand and 859, in 196-Tarari Assembly Constituency is 3lakh 6 thousand 709, in 197-Jagdishpur Assembly Constituency is 3 lakh 7 thousand and 537, in 198-Shahpur Assembly Constituency is 3 lakh 19 thousand and 9.

A review meeting was held under the chairmanship of District Election Officer cum District Magistrate Raj Kumar to make the special brief revision programme successful and all the Block Development Officers (BDOs) are instructed to make the special review meetings successful that is to be organized at different polling centres.

In the upcoming Parliamentary Elections 2024, youths who complete 18 years of age on either 1st January 2024 or 1st July 2024 or 1st October 2024 can participate in the voting by adding their names to the voter list. Therefore, it will be mandatory for the youth of this age to apply in Form 6 to get their named included in the voter list. Such youths can apply online to get their names included in the voter list on the Election Commission of India portal and through the portal helpline App.

Voters seeking voter ID cards and also seeking to transfer their names from one polling booth to another will have to fill Form 8 and for deletion of name from the voter list, Voters will have to fill Form 7. Apart from this, youth who complete 18 years of age on January 1, 2024 or July 1, 2024 or October 1, 2024 can register their names in the voter list through Form 6. It should be noted that regarding addition or deletion of names in the voter list, time has been fixed for voters to raise claims and objections through Form 6 or 7 through BLO till December 9, 2023. The claim and objection received is to be processed by the District Election Officer by December 26, 2023 and after that the voter list will be finally published on January 5, 2024 and on the basis of which the upcoming parliamentary election will be held.
