ARA---------------------------A social worker Sonali Singh organized a Mahila Samvad programme among women in Chanda village of Badahara Assembly Constituency of Bhojpur district. Hundreds of women participated in the programme and put forward their problems and needs related to their lives before Sonali Singh.
Addressing the Mahila Samvad, Sonali Singh praised the strength and dedication of women and added that women are the foundation of every family and their contribution is important in building the society. They play their role in every field of society be it home, work life or the process of bringing about change in society. She further said that most of the women who attended this programme expressed the need for better education, health services, playgrounds for children, colleges and employment opportunities in their village. She believed that availability of these facilities would not only improve their lives but would also lead to development of their entire region. She also said that the participation of women is very important in the development of the State and for this, not only women need to be made aware but they should also be given priority in new policies. She also mentioned the development work done during Tejashwi Yadav’s tenure. She said that Tejashwi Yadav gave employment to the youth and gave respect to women.
Sonali Singh said that her main aim is to make women aware of their rights and raise voice for their development. Through this programme, she listened to the problems from them. She urged all women to raise their voice for their rights and understand their role in the society because when women become aware, change in the society is sure to come.
This Mahila Samvad blew a new life and inspiration to the women of the area prompting them to work harder towards their rights and development.
