Premvati, a visually impaired girl from Budhanpur village, is waiting for gifts, the DM had instructed the officials to cover her under several schemes

Hardoi (RNI) the atmosphere of DM office became emotional in the afternoon when during the public hearing, Premvati, a one eyed disabled Dalit girl resident of village panchayat Budhanpur of Todarpur development block, along with her mother Sarvatta, reached DM Mangala Prasad to ask for a toilet. She told the DM that I have no toilet. I get stings when I go out to defecate

When the DM heard the poor disabled person, he became emotional. He immediately spoke to the BDO Todarpur through virtual medium and instructed to check the eligibility and provide personal toilet. The District Magistrate saw the disability certificate of Divyang Premvati in which 100 percent disability was mentioned. He immediately called the Divyang Welfare Officer and immediately instructed to issue the UDID card. He also said that Premvati should be given a stick for ease of walking. The Divyang Public Welfare Officer immediately brought a stick which the District Magistrate handed over to Premvati with his own hands. The District Magistrate asked Premvati's mother Sarabatta whether she was getting old age pension. On this Sarabatta told that she was not getting pension and she was not even aware of the process. The District Magistrate immediately called the Social Welfare Officer and instructed to get Sarabatta's old age pension applied and asked to start the pension soon. About 10 days have passed since this incident but no officer has considered it appropriate to meet her till now. Divyang Premvati told that after meeting the DM, no employee or officer has contacted her till date, nor has the construction of toilet been started for her. Since the secretary and head of Budhanpur village are Brahmins, the Dalit Divyang trapped in Brahminism was deliberately not given the benefits of toilet, housing, pension etc. Due to this, this poor person living in misery had knocked the door of the DM. But due to the transfer of the DM, the possibility of the DM's instructions being followed is less. In such a situation, it has to be seen whether the new District Magistrate Anunay Jha will be able to get justice for this Dalit Divyang Premvati. Or this Divyang will keep crying over her misery.
