Economic Development Not Possible in War-like Conditions: Dhankhar

Goa (RNI) Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar stated today that India’s goal is to become a developed nation by 2047. To achieve this, an eight-fold increase in per capita income is essential. However, such economic development is only possible when there is peace at the borders. It cannot be achieved in war-like conditions.
Speaking at the inauguration of development projects at Mormugao Port, Mr. Dhankhar emphasized that peace is a prerequisite for development and progress. Goa Governor P.S. Sreedharan Pillai, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, and Union Minister of State Shantanu Thakur were present on the occasion.
The Vice President reiterated, “I have said this many times before and I repeat it again today – unwavering commitment to nationalism and continuous preparedness are vital for national security.”
While praising ‘Operation Sindoor’, Mr. Dhankhar referred to the incident in Pahalgam on 22 April, where Pakistan launched a terrorist attack. He said that India responded effectively, targeting Jaish-e-Mohammed and Lashkar-e-Taiba hideouts in Muridke and Bahawalpur with precision.
