BHOJPUR POLICE ARRESTED FIVE MISCREANTS WITH FIREARMS

ARA---------------------------Bhojpur police arrested five miscreants and sent them to jail in connection with murder of a youth at Bhadwar village under Chandi police station. The police also recovered two country made pistols from them. The arrested miscreants were identified as Manish Kumar son of Anil Kumar, Om Prakash alias Priyanshu son of Ajay Rai, Nikhil Kumar son of Hare Ram Rai, Sanjay Kumar alias Tilu son of Pawan Rai and Jai Janam Rai son of late Jai Prakash Rai of Bhadwar village under Chandi police station.

ASP Chandra Prakash said that some friends of Santosh Rai alias Bhallu 20 son of Dinesh Rai of Bhadwar village under Chandi police station called him in the late evening on January 4, 2024 on the pretext of a party and he came out of his house at about 9pm but he did not return home. At about midnight, his friends informed his family members that someone shot at and injured Santosh Kumar and brought him to the Ara Sadar Hospital but the doctors referred him to the Patna Medical College and Hospital in precarious condition. The family members rushed him to the PMCH but he succumbed to his injuries on way to the PMCH. The family members lodged an FIR with the police under Chandi police station blaming the friends of the deceased. After institution of FIR, the police swung into action and arrested five friends of the deceased of Bhadwar village who confessed their crime before the police during interrogation. The police also recovered two country made pistols from them. Later the police sent them to jail.
