BONFIRE IS TO BE LIT AT 23 PLACES IN ARA

ARA-----------------------------The Ara Municipal Corporation (AMC) has taken care of the poor who live at footpaths at different parts of Ara and are facing the wrath of nature and notice has been issued to burn bonfires at 23 places in Ara. However, some ward councilors are demanding to increase the number of bonfire burning places.

According to the information released from the AMC, the bonfire is to be lit at AMC gate, Pakadi Chowk, Girija Mod, Jhopadia School, Ara railway junction, Eastern railway crossing, Jawahar Tola, Musahar Toli, Durga Manfir Rain Basera, Sadar Hospital, Gopali Chowk, Town police station, Gola Mohalla, Gangi Rain Basera, opposite Dr. B K Shukla clinic, Maulabagh tri-junction, Dharahara Chowk, Godhana Road, Abarpul. For this, a quotation was sought on the price of wood and a shopkeeper near Gangi has been approved the price of Rs. 380 per maund.

Councilor, Ward No 20, Rakhi Devi said that a large number of poor people live at Mahavir Tola, Babu Bazaar, Shaheed Bhawan etc. but no arrangements have been made to lit bonfires there.
