ARA----------------------------One married woman was hanged to death at Chhotaki Singhai village under Ara town police station in Bhojpur district. The deceased was identified as Arati Devi 30 wife of Vishnu Prasad of Chhotaki Singhai. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. A namd FIR was lodged with the police under Ara town police station against the husband Vishnu Prasad, father-in-law Bharat Prasad and the mother-in-law Girija Devi on the statement of the father of the deceased Kedar Prasad in thius regard. The police arrested the husband and the father-in-law of the deceased at once.
Father of deceased Kedar Prasad of Ayar village under the same police station in Bhojpur district said that he married his daughter Arati Devi with Vishnu Prasad son of Bharat Prasad of Chhotaki Singhai under Ara town police station in the month of February in 2016 with full Hindu customs and rituals and gifts in cash and kinds were also given at the time of marriage. Some days after the marriage, her mother-in-law Girija Devi took all the jewelries she got from her parents and whenever she asked for the jewelry to wear, Girija Devi refused to give that caused a quarrel in between them. Six months ago, Arati Devi has come to his parents at Ayar and returned to her in-laws a fortnight ago at Chhotaki Singhai. Meanwhile, her husband and the in-laws informed on mobile that Arati Devi committed suicide by hanging herself to the ceiling of the house. When her family members from Ayar arrived at Chhotki Singhai, they found that Arti Devi was lying on the floor of the house dead. They at once informed the police regarding it and the SHO Ara town police station Sanjeev Kumar rushed to the spot, recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem. The police arrested the husband, Vishnu Prasad, father-in-law Bharaat Prasad of the deceased.
SHO Ara town police station Sanjeev Kumar said that after institution of FIR, police are investigating the matter and also arrested the husband Vishnu Prasad and the father-in-law Bharat Prasad so far.
