POLICE ARREST TWO DRUG PEDDLERS AND SEIZE HEROIN AND CASH FROM A STOLEN SCORPIO

ARA------------------------Bhojpur police, acting on a tip off, arrested two drug peddlers and seized 8.24 gram of heroin, two mobiles and Rs. 18000 in cash from a stolen Scorpio near Banaul Mor under Narayanpur police station in Bhojpur district. The arrested drug peddlers were identified as Amresh Kumar Rai of Chasi village under Narayanpur police station and Rahul Kumar of Ekata Nagar Anaith under Ara Nawada police station. A named FIR was lodged with the police under Narayanpur police station in this regard and the police sent them to jail after interrogation.

Bhojpur SP Mister Raj, in a press release said that he got information that heroin was being smuggled in a stolen Scorpio via Narayanpur. He at once directed the SHO Narayanpur police station Chandan Kumar Bhagat who launched vehicle checking drive near Banauli Mor under Narayanpur police station. The police intercepted a Scorpio and when checked, the police recovered 8.24 gram of heroin and Rs. 18000 in cash. Later the police arrested both the drug peddlers travelling in the Scorpio and recovered their two mobiles. The SP said that Amresh Kumar Rai had criminal background and he had been in jail earlier. He added that the Scorpio belonged to a person of Rohtas and it was stolen from Doriganj in Siwan.
