ARA--------------------------------Social worker Sonali Singh organized a one day ‘Mahila Samwad’ programme among women at Chanda village of Badahara Assembly Constituency of Bhojpur district. Hundreds of women attended the programme and put forward their problems and needs related to their lived before her.
Speaking on the occasion, Sonali Singh praised the strength of women and their dedication and also awareness. She said that women are the foundation of every family and their contribution is important in building the society. They play pivotal role in every sphere of society be it home, work life or the process of bringing about change in the society. She further said that most of the women who attended the programme expressed the need for better education, health services, playgrounds for children, colleges and employment opportunities in their villages. She believed that availability of these facilities would not only improve their lives but would also lead to development of the entire region. She stated that the participation of women is very important in the development of the State and for this, not only women need to be made aware but women should also be given priority in new policies. The social worker also mentioned the development work done during Tejashwi Yadav’s tenure. She said that Tejashwi Yadav gave employment to the youth and gave respect to women.
Sonali Singh further stated that her main aim is to make women aware of their rights and raise voice for their development. Through this programme, Sonali Singh listened to the problems of the women of the area and received blessings from them. She urged all women to raise their voice for their rights and understanding their role in the society because when women become aware, change in the society is sure to come.
This Mahila Samvad programme gave a new enthusiasm and inspiration to the women prompting them to work hard toward their rights and progress.
