ARA-----------------------One youth was killed when a speeding truck collided head-on with his motorcycle near Hansawadih Bazaar on Bihia-Bihata State Highway (SH) under Piro police station in the evening on August 21, 2023. The deceased was identified as Ankit Raj son of Dhananjay Ram alias Sadhu of Pitaro village under Agiaw Bazaar police station in Bhojpur district. Later the police recovered the body and brought it to the Ara Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Ankit Raj was a student of Intermediate in Patna and had come to his native village. He had gone to his aunt at Sedaha village under Tarari police station and was returning home from there in the evening on his motorcycle and when he reached near Hansawadih Bazaar on Bihia-Bihata State Highway under Piro police station, a speeding truck collided head-on with his motorcycle killing him on spot.
In another incident, a married woman was dashed by a speeding truck near Belaur village under Udwanatnagar police station on Ara-Arwal main road and badly injured when she was going to Belaur from her village. She was admitted to the Ara Sadar Hospital where she succumbed to her injuries during treatment. The deceased was identified as Shanti Devi wife of Janeshwar Paswan of Bansidihari village under Sahar police station.
